Google Custom Search Engine was rolled out in the United States on 23rd October. The Custom Search Engine will let web publishers and bloggers to create customised search on their site, built using Google's core search technology, which will restrict search results based on the websites/pages that the publisher specifies. It provides online tools to tailor query boxes for websites or blogs in a guided step-by-step process. Google plans to expand the offering internationally in near future.

www.realclimate.org, www.jumpup.com are among those that tested Google's custom engine service before it went public.
